In an annual global research institutions report by Spanish based SCImago, which analyses the research outputs of universities and research-focused institutions Teagasc has been awarded the second highest excellence rate in Ireland for its research output.
Only TCD came ahead of it. Overall the organisation ranked ninth out of 21 research institutions in Ireland.
Teagasc's research output ion agri-sector is geared towards increased productivity and sustainability.
It's good to know that the agri-sector is served so well by the scientific output of the national agricultural advisory body.
