Stalker was amused by a piece in The Irish Times recently by several of the papers correspondents.
They were all tackling major fears - one leaping into deep water, one on a rollercoaster, one potholing down a claustrophobic cave system, and one attempting to eat a mushroom for the first time in his life.
All succeeded in overcoming their fears except the one who had never knowingly eaten a mushroom in his life. Offered the very finest of mushrooms cooked by a Michelin starred chef in Dublin, the poor fella just could not stomach even the mere thought of it.
