As it stands fatalities on farms on the island of Ireland are well down on last year's quite horrific toll.
Once again the HSA in the south and the HSE in the north are plugging the message hard that preventing accidents on farm has to be a top priority.
With hard hitting television adverts and the random questionnaires sent out to over 3000 farmers in the South, it is hoped that the message is getting through.
The summer season is notoriously the worst for farm related work accidents. With two youngsters being killed on farm down south just recently, the toll is unfortunately once again climbing unacceptably high.
