The old weather saw about St Swithin's day on the 15 July seems to hold some water, as discussed previously on these pages.
Although there was some slight precipitation in certain parts of the country on the day in question, the overall weather scenario was wall to wall sunshine.
The forecasters are predicting the good weather to hold, once again maybe proving the old adage correct.
