The event in Holland at the end of May was deemed a great success by the organisers and attendees alike.
2,200 visitors from 62 countries visited the Mushroom Days. They were welcomed by more than 475 people manning the stands. Over 2,600 industry professionals were gathered together at the Brabanthallen in ‘s-Hertogenbosch.
It sure is a big event. There was plenty to see and do at the event, and a sizeable Irish contingent that travelled to the event, both as exhibitors and as visitors to the trade show.
It is hoped that the All Ireland Mushroom Industry Conference will provide the industry with another chance to shine in this calendar year, at an albeit more bijou event.
At the Dutch event the Irish industry was suitably represented on the exhibition floor by J F McKenna Ltd, Harte Peat, McDon Peat and McShane Packaging.
