With the extended wintery conditions it is likely that growers' energy bills have increased significantly.

Of course the big electricity suppliers in Northern Ireland both announced price hikes in May. Airtricity announced a 17.8% electricity price increase and Power NI announced a similar increase earlier in the month. Both increases start from same day. Go figure!
