Some wags call it the heart attack on a plate – and now it seems that medics say that the Ulster fry is contributing to heart disease in Northern Ireland.
In some parts of the North people dying from heart disease is double that in Southern Parts of England, according to a senior British Heart expert.
The fry generally consisting of rashers , eggs, sausages, soda bread potato bread and tomatoes, additionally and occasionally mushrooms, pancakes and beans, should come with a health warning says Professor Jeremy Pearson of the British Heart Foundation.
Stalker for one will continue having the said fry whenever it is available. Sure when you add the mushrooms and leave out the pancakes, it’s practically a healthy heap on a plate.
