The only certified goat dairy farm in Southwest Florida is shutting down operations and changing its strategy. While they're working on finding new homes for all of their goats, they've already started their next business venture. Inside the farm, they're working on mushroom production.
"We already have the facility that we built for doing the dairy and we can just convert the air conditioned rooms into mushroom growing rooms," explains Jim Ellis, the manager at Umbuzi Farm.
Stalker supposes that a farm full of mushrooms is easier to handle than a farm full of goats!
