There was obviously champ on the menu down at Monaghan Mushrooms HQ recently.
Last month the company announced an alliance with Dutch company PrimeChamp.
On its website PrimeChamp states it chooses the model of a fully integrated growing and supply chain to achieve its goals. Monaghan CEO Ronnie Wilson said: “PrimeChamp is an attractive organisation with many strengths and will contribute positively to our plans for the future.”
Quoted elsewhere he said: “PrimeChamp is a good company with various qualities that will positively contribute to our future plans. I am convinced that this development will generate a stable work climate. This will certainly benefit the interests of the customer and the employees.”
It shows Monaghan is in expansionist mode and the current trend for M&A’s in Ireland is obviously still going strong.
