March thunderstorms indicate that the weather is unusually warm for that time of year. We didn’t have that problem this year.
Apparently it is the Jet Stream which is causing the latest round of snow and freezing temperatures, pushing what would be our nice weather further south.
This March has been potentially the coldest since 1962 and colder than January or February this year. Sunshine below average and there was a persistent cold easterly wind.
