The recent bad weather is typical for the winter months in Ireland and the UK.
The snow and the high winds are apt to cause problems for mushroom operations around the country.
Whether it’s maintaining temperatures or making sure the mushroom houses don’t blow away or get damaged in storm force winds – the beginning of the year is always challenging.
Access is also a problem for supplying mushroom units. Luckily we escaped the worst of the snow, thus far.
But watch out for the advection air mass from Scandinavia coming our way!
