It is quite impressive to note the year on year rise of food exports from Ireland.
As Aidan Cotter, Chief Executive, Bord Bia says, “the Irish food industry has delivered another robust export performance.
”As for the outlook for the mushroom sector according to the Bord folk – “the strong switch to value mushrooms - which seems set to continue in 2013 - is putting strong pressure on profitability in the sector.”
As ever it seems there will be an uphill struggle to maintain and hold on to any gains that have been made.
It never remains static.
Onward and upward is probably the motto to employ.
