Food experts predict rising food prices on the global stage as well as on domestic markets for the coming year.

One thing is for sure the costs of food production are not coming down. As in every sector the mushroom sector is experiencing rising costs too.

One industry source mentioned how electricity costs in the last quarter of 2012 had practically trebled due to a confluence of circumstances.

We can expect to see more pressures being brought to bear in 2013.
