The weather of course remains a main talking point over the holiday period.
As we approach the mid December mark there is talk of severe cold and frost for all of the UK and Ireland.
We’ve already had minus 12C in the UK and minus 7C in Ireland Further ahead there have been dire predictions of another extreme winter chill, but the forecasts of more than 5 days ahead are now really impossible to take seriously.
The supercomputers at the Met offices seem to have been unable to accurately predict the weather more than a week ahead for most of this year.
Thankfully the weather remains thoroughly unpredictable – just as it should be!
