Stalker is always on the lookout for the way in which mushroom tunnels and mushroom facilities end up being used for different purposes.
There was the composting facility recently that was being turned into a fish farm (being used for different porpoises there then).
Now there’s the story of the drugs gang in Bangor Wales, using the disused Faenol railway tunnels at the Menai Business Park ostensibly for a legitimate mushroom growing operation. Of course it turns out it isn’t a commercial mushroom growing operation, but actually a cannabis farm.
“The simple fact is that this is one of the best designed and constructed commercial operations that North Wales Police have ever encountered” according to a police spokesman.
Then comes news of a major marijuana bust at a former mushroom farm in Watsonville, USA: “In what authorities are calling the largest indoor marijuana bust in county history, two men were arrested and more than 3,600 pot plants were seized.”
