FUNGUS AMONG US
Some bad PR for the fungi of late came with the alarming news of the Ash tree die off that has become to happen all across the UK and now Ireland. The threat to that island’s 80 million ash trees is already considered beyond confinement. The killing fungus Chalara fraxinea was imported in ash saplings from a mainland Europe already ravaged by the disease. Already there is talk of how the clash of the ash will be affected.
