That now old adage, coined by Shirley Conran in Superwoman - that life is too short to stuff a mushroom – has been updated for the computer age.
Now it is – If life’s too short to stuff a mushroom, then it’s way too short to watch someone else do it on YouTube. It’s been updated by Catherine Cleary in her new book A Month of Somedays, How One Woman Made the Most of Now. If only that title was a bit shorter.
The whole stuffed mushroom question is moot now anyway, as one can easily buy the very tasty, pre-prepared stuffed variety in most Irish and UK supermarkets.
