INDIAN SUMMER?

People are beginning to talk about an Indian summer this year.

Meteorologists class an Indian summer as a period of warm dry conditions in October or November, after there has been frost on the ground.

Some forecasters use the autumnal equinox, September 22 this year, as an indicator, as long as temperatures stay above 21C for seven days afterwards.
