The Irish Times top 1000 companies, compiled in association with KPMG, had one mushroom industry listing as far as Stalker could see this year.
With an estimated turnover of €265m and Irish employees of 2750, the company came in at a ranking of 184 in the list. Management was listed as John Stanley.
The report on the whole Irish economy looked at the dual- economy with multinationals doing well and growing their workforces with revenues keeping up to pace, while companies dependent on the faltering domestic economy being left behind.
Not a rosy picture for sure – and also one at odds with the idea that austerity measures are working – certainly domestically they aren’t.
