A small item about the Dutch mushroom company Prime Champ settling into some new premises on a German industrial estate caught Stalker ’s eye this month.
When all is up and running right the company will be producing 120 tons per week – quite a big operation indeed.
Stalker was tickled by the image that the company name brought to this provincial Irish mind - lovely spuds and chives with butter- a childhood favourite of many an Irish country boy and girl.
Stalker is sure that none of the Dutch readers will get the allusion.
