Confirmation finally came through mid month that The Balmoral Show is definitely on the move. The next event in 2013 will be happening at the site of the old Maze prison. The show has been held at the King's Hall for more than 100 years. Work is now set to begin immediately to get the new site ready.
It may inconvenience those coming from Belfast that they will now have to travel out of the city a bit – but it will hopefully be a much more amenable site for all-comers at the new venue. Here’s hoping that all goes well for the first show at the new premises.
