Stalker recently encountered a mushroom recipe that begged to be tried out immediately.
The dish is crumbed sweetbreads with peppers and mushrooms mmmm. The original concept by acclaimed UK celebrity chef Nigel Slater sure does make the mouth water. Lovely roasted peppers, fried mushrooms and lamb sweetbreads how tasty.
Then a little niggle in the back of the brain agitated Stalker sweetbreads, but isnt that.... Hmmm. Stalker passed on the recipe to the editorial staff make the dish if you wish. Stalker will give it a miss.
Even though the sweetbreads are not the animals testicles, as is commonly thought, but are the thymus glands of the animal. They are a delicacy no doubt, but maybe not for those of a delicate sensibility.
