Teagasc are organising Pesticide training for mushroom workers again this year.
There is new legislation coming down the pipeline which requires person applying pesticides to crops to have a Pesticide Application Certificate.
The training comes in three parts, over three days. It is obviously a thorough course with practical and written elements. Stalker notes that the exam paper is available in Russian and English! Dates for the course are set in June and the venue for the course and exams is at Teagasc Kinsealy.
It’s good to know that those in charge of spraying the crops will have to have such training and be totally au fait with the methodology and measurements.
