GLUT RUT
According to industry sources there has been a glut of mushrooms of late, a lot earlier in the year than would be expected normally. Hence with the oversupply of produce then prices are subsequently lower. Low prices please no-one. Growers are finding it tough as normally oversupply happens later in the year, maybe in May or June. Perhaps there is some explanation as to why it is happening earlier this year – just as with the climate and spring happening earlier in year. Scientists are finding answers for the climate change, one wonders has anyone the answers re the industry oversupply change? The bottom line is, things are tight out there at the moment.
