Stalker is always keen to see the new ways that mushrooms are entering the foodie world.
Top Irish food writer John McKenna was recently plugging a Cork outfit, Ballyhoura Mushrooms, who are doing exciting things with exotics it would seem.
Stalker loves the place name itself, Ballyhoura conjures up many ideas and connotations. It is reminiscent of a recent favourite place name, Ballyholey in Co. Donegal. Everyone has their own favourites one past editor of the magazine who was tickled pink at the mention of Hackballscross there was even a humorous story about it involving a character called Keady Jim.
If any reader has a place name story of note please do send it on. Toponyms are tops, as nobody has probably said before.
