Stalker received an unusual request concerning the availability for a certain type of spawn recently.
The English caller wanted to know if Stalker could point the way to any outlets for a particular spawn to grow a very certain type of mushroom.
Stalker scratched the old noggin, but there were no ideas forthcoming. Nor had Stalker ever heard of anyone trying to produce this particular variety before. The mushroom in question is the St George mushroom, and the caller was very adamant that this mushroom could be produced if there was a spawn culture provider out there. Indeed the caller mentioned how he had cultivated some of the rarer varieties of mushroom now more widely available in UK supermarkets, many years previously.
He mentioned the Blewitt and other types.
If anyone out there is aware of any recent St. Georges mushroom spawn available, please do let Stalker know so as to pass on the info.
