Stalker was happy to see that EU directives on misshapen fruit and veg are mostly being abolished.
It should lead to less waste and bonkers stories in the press about knobbly fruit and rude shaped spuds and the like.
No doubt it will not mean that the mutant looking mushrooms will now be making it onto the supermarket shelves – for as we all know supermarket buyers and not the EU are the final arbiters of what food we see in the shops.
