When a business behemoth like Tesco issues a profits warning, the whole sector can feel the chilling effects.
Markets get the jitters, money men get even more anxious than they already are. However it is just a warning – it’s not like Tesco ain’t making a profit. The idea of ever increasing profits is seriously deluded anyway.
Stalker wonders though who will feel the squeeze in the end?
As the Irish Minister of Horticulture has recently pointed out, supermarkets need to wise up when it comes to how they treat their suppliers. Hopefully they will sit up and take the right kind of notice.
