The recent misadventure in the Aussie Capital of Canberra bears as a warning to all wild mushroom pickers.
The mushrooms were cooked in a restaurant by a chef who picked the poisonous mushrooms in Braddon on his way home from work, mistaking them for the edible straw mushrooms used in Asian cooking.
The private meal at the restaurant has ended with 2 people dead and at least 2 others in a serious condition.
Recently Jamie Oliver remarked on a comedy quiz that he could have wiped out the British Government by substituting death cap mushrooms for other well known cooking mushrooms. Just goes to show that it must be nigh on impossible to spot the difference.
