Stalker was amazed to see another new piece of medicinal mushroom research about to be embarked upon in the USA.
Apparently researchers at the world renowned Massachusetts General Hospital are investigating mushroom derivatives that may potentially help with Parkinson’s disease.
The study will be of the therapeutic and prophylactic potential of Ergo-D2 as a dietary therapy or as a palliative therapy for Parkinson’s disease patients. Ergo-D2 is a mushroom-based amino acid containing L-Ergothioneine and vitamin D2, and is thought to be an antioxidant.
It will be interesting to see if any treatments do come out of this line of research.
