Sylvan organised a farm walk in conjunction with McGeary's Fresh Mushrooms on the 15th of April. The walk took place on Leo McGeary's farm at "Kishaboy" on the Collegeland Rd in Co. Tyrone.
International mushroom consultant Ray Samp gave a presentation on "Recent developments in mushroom growing around the world." Sylvan Ireland's Mel O'Rourke gave a presentation on the current state of markets and the mushroom industry in general.
An Portmor in Blackwatertown was the venue for some light refreshments and snacks and for further discussions after the farm walk.
