There was a hubbub out in the Brantry, in Tyrone one night lately.
Someone mentioned that there was a house party happening.
It transpired that the house in question was none other than a mushroom house. A venue for a party, there’s some novelty there for sure.
Turns out that longstanding grower James Gildernew, from the Brantry, had the best night in a mushroom house in 25 years. James’s daughter, Eilish Quinn, had her 40th birthday celebrations held in one of his mushroom houses.
Obviously the ‘shrooms had left the building, but the crack was great and the birthday celebrations were a great success. Perhaps there’s the seed of an idea here for all those abandoned mushroom houses one sees about the countryside.
Maybe not.
Congratulations to Eilish on reaching the big four O.
After forty years of age one finds that the next few birthdays are not so significant, so the older folk tell Stalker.
