STRAW HOLD

Mutterings persist about the country that good straw is being held on to, in search of better prices.

However farmers holding on to straw are gambling that the harvest this year will not be good, hence causing a shortage and pushing prices up.

But the strategy is risky, as so far the straw the year has been good.
