CUCKOO STORM

This time of the year is full of weather lore.

St Swithins day of course passed recently – and did it rain where you are? If so you can expect rain for 40days.

According to tradition, the weather on his feast day (15 July) will continue for forty days.

Stalker reckons Ireland will be experienceing quite a bit of rain if the old prediction is right.

Then along comes an Atlantic storm to make the weather feel more like March.

Apparently its called the cuckoo storm. A weather front that will send the ill-starred bird on its way if it is still hanging about.

As someone said – there’s the summer gone again.
