Stalker was remiss not to mention and congratulate the new Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development at the Northern Assembly, MLA Michelle O’Neill.
Another Michelle, and another Tyrone woman.
The new minister has already shown that she has a lot of nous when it comes to dealing with the other members of the Assembly.
She’ll need it when she has to deal with all the ups and downs that the Agriculture portfolio throws up to any minister in their term of office.
She also perceives the agri-food sector as having the potential to be a key driver in taking the northern economy out of recession – let’s hope so.
