News of another charitable escapade reached Stalker’s ears this month.
Neil Scully, of Scully Grower Supplies, is set to embark on the walk of a lifetime in the month of June.
Neil is heading out to Kilimanjaro, that massive mountain in Tanzania, to climb to the top in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care. As many will know the mountain is a tricky prospect, as lots of climbers run into difficulty because of altitude sickness.
Neil is organising some fund raising events before the big hike, so watch this space, and click along to the Scully website www.scullymush.ie to find out more.
Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain in Africa at 5,895 metres or 19,341 ft above sea level.
Mount Kilimanjaro is the highest freestanding mountain as well as the 4th most prominent mountain in the world, rising 5,882 metres or 19,298 ft from the base.
It will be a difficult climb during the hot month of June, that’s for sure!
