GOOD YEAR

Stalker was chatting to a mushroom grower from Monaghan recently who was sounding buoyant and optimistic about the year ahead.

The grower reckoned that last year had been one of the best years in the growing business in a long time, and he has been at it quite a long time.

Things were “pretty steady” and, all in all, the outlook is good according to the grower.

It was nice to hear some positive news amid all the gloomy economic reports and the continuing weather freeze.
