Stalker was amused by the reports from London in the national media that one of the world’s top chefs was slammed for a mushroom foraging stunt on Hampstead Heath.
Launching his new cook book Michelin starred restaurant owner Rene Redzepi took several chefs onto the 800 acre park to hunt for wild mushrooms to add to their dishes.
Apparently picking mushrooms without a licence is contrary to the Heath bylaws, and anyone found doing so should receive a verbal warning if caught.
Funnily enough, there are many other activities which go on, on the Heath, which probably contravene bylaws. Stalker reckons picking some mushrooms to cook is not the worst of them.
