Lazily watching the British version of the apprentice on December 1st, Stalker was entertained by the kerfuffle surrounding the buying of truffles.
The teams were challenged to find and buy at the lowest price, 10 esoteric items, ranging from an Indian tikka, to a kitchen cooking surface.
One of the items was 50g of white Alba truffle. As we all know the Alba truffle, often referred to as white diamond or white gold, is pretty expensive.
The losing team lost on the purchase of the truffle, which they acquired at some fancy restaurant in one of the more posh areas of London at an exorbitant price.
Alan Sugar was less than impressed by the haggling ability and the price of the truffle, so one of the apprentices got fired.
