The profusion of red berries in the hedgerows and bushes around the country apparently augur a really cold winter. If one can't trust the Met Office to get their seasonal forecasts right, maybe we can look to the traditional forecaster Michael Gallagher.
Michael's book Tuar na hAimsire (traditional weather signs) has already sold out its first print run and is now on a second impression. Michael who hails from Glenfin in Co.Donegal is one of the country's more unusual forecasters who uses clues in nature to predict the weather.
