AUTUMN DIP
It’s that time of year again when growers experience the Autumn Dip. Temperatures have a habit of fluctuating from quite high, to quite low. Consequently there seems to be an annual experience of poor quality in the fresh produce, understandable enough when the ambient temps vary so much. This is perhaps another reason for the strong demand in mushrooms at this time of the year. The Autumn dip can curtail the supply of the best quality, hence demand for the produce gets higher.
