Monday evening 13th September and the TV was on in the background.
Stalker had noticed Barry McGuigan and Jenny Bristow on a UTV programme demonstrating the culinary delights of Armagh.
The show called The Fabulous Food Adventure was in Magherlain and at Newforge house- the boxer and cook were organising a barbecue, trying some local beer, cooking the best beef, and preparing free range chicken for a chicken pie.
Barry and Jenny were in the kitchen about to cook and prepare food when a certain Mr Seamus Cassidy from Unimush walked on saying “I'm the mushroom man.”
He presented a tray of beautifully prepared stuffed mushrooms to the pair of celebs.
There were assorted varieties, stuffed with garlic and cream cheese, herb crusted cheese, cheddar cheese and sun dried tomatoes. All the mushrooms looked truly delicious and as Seamus said, they could be eaten as starters with some salad, or served as main courses.
The two presenters also cooked using all the local ingredients, including fresh mushrooms.
Seamus performed excellently and thus served the mushroom industry well with his TV debut. The item was most certainly a healthy bit of good PR for the local industry. And mushroom man Seamus was a bit of a star turn.
