Stalker is sure that everyone has spotted the wild mushrooms that are appearing this year in abundance.

They seem to be way more massive than previous years – just as with other harvests this year, the wild mushroom harvest is bounteous too.

However the note of caution must always be sounded that the consequences of picking the wrong fungus can be deadly. Note the story of the Horse Whisperer author Nicholas Evans in Scotland two years ago.

And this year we have the story of a 12 year old girl eating some death cap mushrooms, and luckily surviving.
