Readers may be aware that the Department (DARD-NI) intends to set up focus farms to demonstrate best practice. Many prefer to see practical units used for this purpose; so if you feel you would like to become involved with this programme, the application process will begin in the next couple of months. Farm owners will receive payment for preparing for and hosting of visits, which will be by appointment. There will also be some funding available for improvement of certain facilities.
