The new Monaghan Mushrooms associate company’s mushroom growing site and R&D centre was officially opened In mid August by the Republics Minister for Agriculture Brendan Smith.
The story was well covered in all media outlets, press and television news.
The new operation at Tyholland Mushrooms Limited is by all accounts very impressive and top of the range anywhere in Europe.
With the additional bonus of up to 150 new jobs being created it is undoubtedly a major PR plus for the Monaghan group in these economically hard times.
