The BBC’s flagship agri-rural show Countryfile came from the Welsh hills on May 16th.
In the national park in Snowdonia they uncovered a welsh farmer growing exotic mushrooms in a novel fashion.
Ellie Harrison, in her first report for Countryfile after making her name on the One Show and Country Tracks, visited Cynan Jones who grows far eastern Shitake mushrooms in two shipping containers, recreating summer and autumn conditions.
Ellie then cooked co-presenter Matt Baker a mushroom sandwich - eaten on a gravity train to the top of Snowdon - where they were lucky to take in breathtaking views for the end of the show.
