Another wee bit on the volcano status; Stalker has read that on the VEI scale (the volcanic explosivity index), the current eruption at mount E is going to be classified as a two on the scale. The scale runs from one to eight.
There are bigger volcanoes in Iceland which are also potentially on an active footing. Remember the Mount St Helens eruption back in the 80s, it hit five on the VEI scale. But then again it only affected local air traffic.
Hopefully the latest eruption will prove to be a silver-lined cloud for fresh land-shipped mushroom produce.
As one of the freshest foodstuffs in the supermarkets and shops, the industry could be in for a wee spike in demand.
