Stalker is always seeking links and themes from current affairs news that relate back to the humble mushroom, or affect the local mushroom industry.
With NAMA though, there seemed to be no luck. How could the workings of this dreamt up National Assets Management Agency come to bear on mushrooms and mushroom people.
The link was finally established when some wag sent Stalker the link for NAMA – the North American Mushroom Association. But of course!
Nothing to do with the whopping great building society created by the Irish government, except that they share the same acronym.
The NAMA in the US may take umbrage at the use of their long established acronymic name being hijacked by the upstart Frankensteinian creation in Ireland. Who knows what the Irish NAMA will bring?
