The on-going saga of the hunt for gold in the hills and valleys of counties Monaghan and Armagh continues.
The news that IEX-listed exploration company Conroy Diamonds and Gold have announced that the first drill holes at its Clay Lake gold target in Co Armagh produced positive results had indicated a “broad Zone” of gold mineralisation. Clay Lake covers an area of about 141 hectares and has returned the highest “gold-in-soil” values recorded by Conroy so far on its Irish exploration licences.
Stalker always knew there was gold in them thar hills, drumlins, rivers and lakes – just never got round to prospecting.
Then again hitting the main seam was never Stalker’s forte.
