Any mushroom folk who have ventured to see the 3D film extravaganza that is Avatar, cannot have missed all the fungi and mushroom-shaped thingys that populate the filmic landscape.
It’s amazing how alien-world making is the sight of overgrown fungal structures. Of course, there was no suggestion in the film that the native people featured, in any way communed with the native fungi - the film is a tad too straight-laced for that.
Anyone who hasn’t caught the movie will not read any spoilers here.
Just to say that it is obviously a cinematic event that is worth catching, if not the best film one has seen this year!
